Lessons last for 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on the pupil's individual needs.
When pupils have lessons at my home, they are taught on both a Yamaha digital and a Schimmel acoustic piano (internet lessons are taught by demonstating on a Yahama digital piano)
Time should be set aside for practice in order that progress can be made. It is important that during this time the right environment is created for learning.
In addition to piano playing, all aspects of musicianship are taught - performance, theory, sight reading and aural skills.
Entrance to public examinations is actively encouraged.
I teach from complete beginners up to diploma level, including both performance and teaching diplomas.
